Course Description
The trainees learn to ride on busier roads and more complex junctions including roundabouts, traffic lights, multi lane roads and filtering.
Outcomes are to encourage the trainees to make more progressive journeys when cycling independently.
This course is aimed at:
11 to 15 year olds
Course structure
3 sessions of 2 hours on consecutive days

Things to know
- Children MUST demonstrate Level 2 abilities successfully before progressing further on the course.
- Trainees are expected to behave in a respectable manner and follow instructor's comments to ensure their safety and the rest of the group. The instructors reserve the right to withdraw a child whose behaviour puts them, other trainees and road users at risk. Parents will be contacted by the instructors.
- A bike is required which should be roadworthy and have two working brakes.
- Your helmet should be undamaged and fit correctly.
- A drink and snack are advisable.
- Suitable clothing for the weather (suncream if weather permits)
- In cases of severe weather contact will be made by the lead instructor with further information about delivery of the course.
- Joining instructions - meeting point, instructor details and time of training.
